Talascend is currently seeking a Project Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.

Overview

In this role, you will work with experienced engineers to execute requirements based engineering and engine systems development or project engineering work assignments for military gas turbine engines.

Responsibilities

  • Support requirements development and execution
  • Support development and execution of system plans such as the System Development Plan and Requirements Management Verification and Validation Plan
  • Support engine system architecture development, design, and execution
  • Possible cost account management duties
  • Expected to support the following within the Systems Project team
  • Support the program for the assigned module or system
  • Leadership capability with diverse, cross functional team
  • Escalate effectively with leadership
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Bias toward creative thinking and innovation in product design and approach to everyday work
  • Working knowledge of and commitment to processes
  • Promote strong team working relationships
  • Identify gaps and risks on behalf of the team
  • Support schedules and budgeted time for the assigned work scope

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related STEM field
  • 5 or more years systems, project engineering or aerospace program execution experience

Requirements

  • Due to US export control laws, must be a US Citizen, permanent resident, or have protected status
  • DOORS NG experience
  • MBSE and SysML experience
  • Prior systems engineering experience either through direct industry experience or education/training
  • Ability to execute complex projects in an organized and efficient way
  • Capability to facilitate interpersonal relationships and resolve conflicts tactfully and effectively
  • Ability to escalate effectively with leadership and cross-functionally across the organization
  • Focus on results and effective execution of projects
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Experience using DOORS, CAMEO, SysML, and/or other RBE/MBE programs
  • Aerospace or systems engineering degree
