Talascend is currently seeking a Program Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Warren, Michigan.

Overview

The role involves supporting project and program management efforts within the Artisan Center, focusing on vehicle development, launch, and special projects. The position requires collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, validation, and quality teams to ensure successful execution of build events and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating key indicator reports for new business areas
  • Lead initiatives to promote growth at the Artisan Center
  • Automate current processes to improve efficiency
  • Support program management in non-traditional work portfolios
  • Manage change effectively and communicate project status to leadership
  • Engage with global teams as required
  • Lead planning and readiness activities for non-traditional work, special projects, and pre-production
  • Support quality processes and floor activities including reviews, escalation, and daily meetings
  • Ensure achievement of business objectives following established principles
  • Lead and execute special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a related field required
  • At least 8-10 years of experience required
  • Experience working with program execution, project management, and problem-solving
  • Ability to read technical drawings, electrical prints, and understand quality requirements
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle assembly, full line manufacturing, or prototype work
  • Understanding of the change management process
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work between floor and program management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of manufacturing, quality, engineering, or project management processes
  • Experience in vehicle development and launch processes
  • Background in quality and vehicle assembly

The candidate should be adaptable, hands-on, and able to manage multiple issues and projects simultaneously, with excellent communication skills and a collaborative work ethic.
