Talascend is currently seeking an Installation Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Hammond, Louisiana.

Overview

The role involves supporting physical activities at the installation project site, including assisting with mechanical adjustments and performing various aspects of conveyor installation.

Responsibilities

  • Accept guidance for daily activities from site leads to support necessary physical activities of the installation project site.
  • Conduct interactions with others on site in a professional and courteous manner to communicate relevant information clearly and in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate responsible behavior to perform requested activities to the best of ability and notify site lead of issues with completing the activity.
  • Work constructively with the entire site installation team to develop and enhance work processes to improve safety or quality of each activity.
  • Participate in safety training as requested, including weekly safety meetings.
  • Be competent and certified to operate powered lift equipment, including scissor lift or forklift.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Competent and certified to operate powered lift equipment, including scissor lift or forklift.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate professional and courteous communication skills to drive positive culture on site among all project team members.
  • Clear, timely communications with all points of contact, including site leads and project team members.
  • Must be physically able to traverse project construction sites, including stairs and ladders.
  • Able to perform physical activities, such as carrying materials (35#) and using hand tools to loosen and tighten conveyor hardware.
  • Understand and enforce safe practices for proper use of tools commonly used, such as power tools, cranes, hoists and slings, forklifts, scissor lifts.
