Emissions Technician
Talascend is currently seeking an Emissions Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Milford, Michigan.
Overview
This entry level technician position is for technicians with little or no experience that have some formal education in a core skill area. In this role you will handle basic project assignments with supervision.
Responsibilities
- Set-up and perform emission testing on vehicles.
- Evaluate results.
- Recommend corrective action.
Qualifications
- Associates degree
- 2+ years’ work experience
Requirements
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship leadership skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed.
- Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Dynamometer Testing / Lab Operations Setup.
- Experience with AVL, Horiba or Burke Porter.
- Understanding of Global Manufacturing System principle.
- Very training heavy – will be in training for about 6 months before they will be on their own.
- Not looking for someone who is over qualified (example - 4+ years and a high level degree).
- Someone who is looking for a long term position.
Shift
1st and 2nd shift openings, 4x10 schedule: Sun - Wed or Wed - Sat.
