Talascend is currently seeking a Developer Relations Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Mountain View, California.

Overview

The main function of a developer relations engineer is to provide technical guidance, create technical content, and interact with the developer community to solve coding problems and drive adoption of SDKs.

Responsibilities

  • Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.
  • Manage backup, security and user help system.
  • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
  • Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
  • Provide users with technical support for computer problems.
  • Recruit, hire, train and supervise staff, or participate in staffing decisions.
  • Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance about SDKs, capable of understanding and reviewing technical integrations.
  • Create technical content, including documentation, blogs, tutorials, sample applications and libraries, to drive adoption of SDKs.
  • Interact with the developer community to solve coding problems, provide debugging support, and share solutions via official channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to increase ecosystem engagement, identify developer needs and business opportunities.
  • Facilitate webinars and online events for the developer community.
  • Analyze Developer Portal performance and engagement metrics to identify areas of improvements in the Developer Program infrastructure and offering.

Qualifications

  • Korean and English written, reading, and speaking abilities required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field required.
  • MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years related experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.
  • 5 years of work experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering, software consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.
  • 3 years of experience as a technical expert/advisor in a developer community.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with mobile ecosystems (Android, iOS).
  • Experience in handling and operating systems (such as Salesforce) for forum management and developer program operations.

Pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
