GMP Cleaner
Talascend is currently seeking a GMP Cleaner for a contract opportunity with our client in Berkeley, California.
Overview
This position requires strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and established cleaning policies and procedures to maintain compliance with quality standards and FDA regulations. The incumbent plays a critical role in assuring sanitary conditions of the controlled areas are maintained for the manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals.
Responsibilities
- Perform sanitization and cleaning per governing SOPs in GMP spaces
- Execute sanitization activities using ceiling mops, wall mops, floor mops, and wipers
- Verify proper sanitization disinfectant rotation is followed and correct disinfectant is used for each cleaning assignment
- Complete required GMP documentation to ensure records are properly and accurately maintained
- Dispose of waste from GMP manufacturing process area waste receptacles daily
- Organize and maintain sanitization supply areas
- Participate in required training on the use of sanitization disinfectants and equipment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience cleaning a biopharmaceutical GMP controlled environment
Requirements
- English usage, reading and writing proficiency
- Computer experience
- Attention to detail
- Excellent attendance record
- Ability to follow work instructions
- Knowledge of company policies and practices, including safety rules and regulations
- Physical ability to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, crouch, climb, and lift equipment and/or materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Preferred Requirements
- Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) knowledge
- Good Documentation Practices (GDP) familiarity
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work in team environment and independently
- Experience establishing collaborative working relationships with internal and external customers
- Customer service experience with both internal and external customers
Shift
6:00am - 2:30pm with rotating days off (Sun/Tues or Thurs/Sat)
