Industrial Electrician Level III
Talascend is currently seeking an Industrial Electrician Level III for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Lakewood, New York.
Overview
In this role, you will troubleshoot, assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and capable. You will also learn and understand the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring safety by stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards immediately.
- Adherence to HSE standards and prompt reporting of any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards.
- Recognizing the environmental impact of your work and striving to minimize negative effects.
- Applying high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship to ensure the reliability and efficiency of equipment and processes.
- Providing feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system and supporting equipment uptime and downtime failure analysis.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, electrical repairs, and maintenance to ensure that equipment operates smoothly and meets applicable codes and standards.
- Instructing and coaching others to foster a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
- Actively participating in continuous improvement activities and TPM teams.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in a relevant trade field, or a Journeyman Trade Certificate with relevant experience.
- A 2-year technical degree in a related field, plus 3 years experience working in the Machine Repair/Industrial Electrical field.
Requirements
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret schematics, manuals, and blueprints.
- Ability to provide training, mentorship, and guidance to apprentices.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to support production.
- Knowledge and understanding of the NEC and IEC (National Electrical Code and Industrial Electrical Code) is required along with training, authorization, and certification in 70E.
- Knowledge and troubleshooting skills of PLC, HMI, Servo Drives, CNC, automation, and robotic controls is required.
Shift
3rd shift 10pm-6am
