Talascend is currently seeking a Procurement Contract Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Hazelwood, Missouri.

Overview

The procurement contract specialist role is a collaborative and results-oriented position supporting sourcing and contract management activities across various indirect categories, including commercial, IT, corporate services, and science & technology. The role involves working with the global procurement team to execute supplier contracts and ensure compliance throughout the contract lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and support the documentation of processes to provide back-office support within the contract lifecycle management (CLM) system
  • Work with legal and procurement teams to ensure proper application of contracting guidelines for various scenarios
  • Perform strong statement of work (SOW) review and negotiation
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders partnering with procurement
  • Maintain documents and metadata within the CLM system
  • Support corporate objectives and change initiatives to align sourcing activities with company growth
  • Prioritize work efficiently based on corporate needs
  • Monitor procurement and end-user compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related business field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or contract management (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of indirect procurement experience (preferred)
  • Experience with IntelAgree or other CLM tools (preferred)
  • Project management experience in corporate or professional services environments (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving environments
  • Solid multi-phase project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
