Talascend is currently seeking an Audio-Visual Support Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Houston, Texas.

Overview

The technical support analyst (audio-visual) role is an end-user focused position with a direct focus on proactive problem resolution. it involves supporting conference room hardware and software, troubleshooting issues, and providing end-user training to ensure smooth audio-visual operations in a fast-paced environment. a strong desire to learn new hardware and software is essential.

Responsibilities

  • support day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, and evaluation of conference room audio-visual hardware and software
  • assist end users with meeting scheduling, setup, and reported issues
  • monitor the health of systems such as microsoft intune, crestron, logitech, and appspace digital signage
  • support daily meetings and events, including end-user technical needs, camera tracking, and meeting scheduling
  • perform field support with remote troubleshooting and end-user training on audio-visual systems
  • conduct daily site walkthroughs of 800 capitol to proactively identify down systems
  • run system health reports to identify issues and research new products
  • assist with hardware installation, repair, and physical maneuvering, including lifting and climbing ladders

Qualifications

  • minimum of one year of relevant experience in the audio-visual, microsoft 0365, or network industry
  • at least one year of end-user support in a technical environment
  • experience with audio-visual equipment including microsoft teams rooms, crestron, polycom, and logitech products (direct experience with all is not required)
  • strong desire to learn and grow in technical skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and support reporting activities
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
  • candidate must be able to lift 50lbs, bend, climb ladders, and maneuver under tables
