Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Denver, Colorado.

Overview

The mobile maintenance technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in assigned facilities. The role involves assisting in maintenance and repair efforts, performing inspections, repairs, and general upkeep of interior and exterior property areas.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
  • Assist the operations team in maintenance and repair of building and equipment
  • Perform general interior maintenance such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems
  • Conduct minor plumbing repairs
  • Complete special tasks including painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and general maintenance as assigned
  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested
  • Perform facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting conditions affecting client occupancy and operations
  • Be on call for after-hours emergencies
  • Comply with safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping
  • Recognize hazards and propose methods to eliminate them
  • Ensure compliance with local ordinances, codes, and laws
  • Handle hazardous materials safely and participate in ongoing safety and technical training
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Document work performed and materials procured as directed
  • Lift a minimum of 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft., and demonstrate mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and drive
  • Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  • Work independently or as part of a team and be self-motivated

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of applicable experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical work
  • Valid state driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a technical training program
