Controls Systems Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking a Controls Engineer for an opportunity in Warren, Michigan.
Overview
Ensure alignment to a controls engineer role focused on designing, developing, and optimizing automation and control systems within the automotive manufacturing environment. The role involves working on diverse automation projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to launch new programs, and supporting manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize automation and control systems for automotive manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new program launches and integrate advanced technologies.
- Utilize PLC/HMI programming, robotics, and industrial automation to improve system reliability, safety, and efficiency.
- Work on diverse automation projects, troubleshooting, testing, and debugging systems.
- Travel to plant sites and suppliers as needed for equipment buy-offs.
- Contribute to improving safety, reliability, and production efficiency on the factory floor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience required.
- Experience with HMI and PLC programming projects.
- Automotive background and in-plant experience are a plus.
- Strong teamwork, technical programming skills, and proactive initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with robotics integration.
- Knowledge of industrial automation standards and practices.
