Talascend is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer for an opportunity in West Chester, Ohio.

Overview

This role involves operating, inspecting, and maintaining various HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment in assigned facilities, with a focus on efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
  • Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC/R systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, and related systems within assigned facilities.
  • Conduct inspections and report on conditions affecting occupancy and operations.
  • Complete hazard assessments and ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain safety, housekeeping, and safe driving practices at all times.
  • Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Update work order statuses in real time and utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo.
  • Perform vehicle safety inspections and report issues promptly.
  • Attend work and safety meetings as required and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant technical experience in building engineering, with a strong background in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and equipment repair and maintenance.
  • HVAC technicians must have a Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of computer applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC.
