Hydrodemolition Sales and Project Manager
Talascend is currently seeking a Hydrodemolition Sales Manager for a remote, direct hire opportunity with our client.
Overview
This role involves leading sales, estimating, and project management efforts for complex specialty concrete projects in nuclear facilities and dam infrastructure, with secondary exposure to marine, heavy industrial, and infrastructure sectors. The position offers an opportunity to build and own a book of business with direct accountability for pipeline, wins, margin, and execution.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue opportunities across nuclear, dams, marine, and heavy industrial sectors.
- Build and maintain direct relationships with EPC firms, owners, and prime contractors.
- Position the company early in the project lifecycle through outreach, networking, and industry events.
- Review plans, specifications, and contracts for technical accuracy and risk; develop accurate estimates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for awarded projects from kickoff through closeout.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials in partnership with operations leadership.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements.
- Own and protect project profitability, tracking actual versus budgeted margins weekly.
- Identify, document, and negotiate change orders to maintain or improve margin.
- Build long-term client relationships that generate repeat and negotiated work.
- Capture lessons learned and incorporate feedback into estimating, operations, and future bids.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in construction sales, estimating, project management, or specialty contracting.
- Direct working knowledge of hydrodemolition, concrete cutting, wire sawing, core drilling, or structural/selective demolition.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Proven track record of personally winning work on commercial construction projects.
- Comfort with AI tools, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and modern productivity technology.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50%.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to defend estimates to sophisticated buyers.

- U.S. Citizen due to project requirements.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screening.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Existing, active relationships with EPC firms such as Kiewit, Bechtel, Fluor, MWH, or Barnard.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid, and On-Screen Takeoff.
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent.
- Experience working in secured or high-compliance environments (nuclear, DOE, federal, high-security industrial).
