Talascend is currently seeking an Entry Level Automotive Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Livonia, Michigan.

Overview

This role involves assembling automotive components in a dynamic manufacturing environment, with a focus on cutting-edge technology projects within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly of automotive components and systems according to written procedures
  • Utilize manual tools and power equipment safely and effectively
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly or mechanical issues as they arise
  • Assist in maintaining organization of tools and parts
  • Participate in training and ongoing learning for process improvements
  • Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet production demands

Qualifications

  • 1 year of recent hands-on assembly experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Basic understanding of automotive systems
  • Mechanically inclined with ability to use manual tools and power equipment safely
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, and eager to learn
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent attendance record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous automotive mechanic or co-op experience
  • Automotive electrical systems experience
  • A basic set of mechanic tools
