Talascend is currently seeking an Electrical Superintendent for a contract opportunity located in Port Arthur, TX.
Overview:
In this role, you will monitor and organize planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders’ involvement, through the coordination and instruction of staff. Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.

Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors and directs activities, through coordination and instruction of supervision staff within the area of responsibility.
- Role supports on large projects of high complexity with multiple stakeholders’ involvement.
- Planning
- Reviews and monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Reviews and approves where necessary, subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Leads the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
- Safety / Quality
- Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements
- Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
- Technical
- Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
- Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
- Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.
Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
