Talascend is currently seeking a Contract Administrator for a contract opportunity located in Austin, TX.
Overview:
Provide complete commercial, legal, and administrative oversight for all prime contracts, trade agreements, and vendor purchase orders associated with the project. This role ensures total compliance with contractual obligations, financial workflows, and risk management guidelines while serving as the operational link between Procurement, Finance, and the Project Management team.

This role ensures total compliance with contractual obligations, financial workflows, and risk management guidelines while serving as the operational link between Procurement, Finance, and the Project Management team.
Responsibilities:
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Administer the end-to-end lifecycle of project contracts, amendments, and task orders within the internal contract management systems, ensuring all documentation aligns with corporate governance.
- Change Order Management: Facilitate the intake, tracking, independent review, and formal processing of Change Order Requests (CORs). Ensure all changes are thoroughly vetted for entitlement, verified against contract documents, and properly routed for executive approval.
- Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Monitor vendor compliance regarding key contract provisions, including tracking Certificate of Insurance (COI) expirations, performance/payment bonds, and statutory lien waivers prior to payment releases.
- Pay Application Verification: Partner with the Cost Management Lead and Project Managers to audit the monthly pay applications, cross-referencing requested funds against verified, physical on-site progress and earned value metrics.
- Closeout Administration: Manage the commercial closeout process for all contractors and specialized vendors, ensuring final retention releases, punch-list sign-offs, and mutual releases of liability are successfully executed.
