Subcontracts Specialist
Talascend is currently seeking a Subcontracts Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.
Overview
This role involves taking ownership of securing parts under contract within a FAR Part 15 environment, establishing long-term agreements, and ensuring compliance with acquisition regulations. The position supports the end-to-end cycle of FAR15 proposals and subcontracts, focusing on government sourcing and negotiation.
Responsibilities
- Execute FAR15 subcontracts in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and applicable regulations
- Build strong negotiation positions for contract execution
- Manage key program suppliers
- Mentor and train team members
- Develop supplier strategies to deliver best overall value
- Support proposal development, fulfillment, and negotiations for subcontracts or long-term purchase orders
- Work closely with the pricing organization and negotiate with suppliers to secure FAR15 compliant subcontracts
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, business, or finance
- US person due to contractual requirements
- Subcontracting experience (FAR15)
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Strong negotiation skills and processes
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
