Operational Technology Security Architect
Talascend is currently seeking an Operational Technology Security Architect for a contract opportunity with our client in Lake Forest, Illinois.
Overview
The role involves designing and governing enterprise-wide security frameworks for operational technology assets, translating business objectives into a comprehensive OT security architecture, and ensuring compliance and risk management across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Define and govern the enterprise-wide security framework securing OT assets
- Translate business objectives into standards-based OT security architecture
- Lead OT risk assessments, gap analyses, and develop security roadmaps
- Assess existing security technologies and evaluate new options
- Establish governance frameworks and oversee compliance
- Act as liaison between OT operations, IT security, engineering, and senior leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in cybersecurity, electrical engineering, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, or ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with minimum 5 years in OT security
- Strong understanding of secure remote access, network segmentation, OT network monitoring, cloud integration, and threat modeling
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with security architectures and frameworks like IEC/ISA 62443
