Wire Harness Assembler
Talascend is currently seeking a Wire Harness Assembler for an opportunity in Allen Park, Michigan.
Overview
This role involves assembling wiring harnesses by following detailed instructions, utilizing hand tools, and ensuring high-quality standards. It requires technical skills in wiring and soldering, along with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Responsibilities
- Follow provided work instructions including prints, cut sheets, and sample harnesses
- Assemble wiring harnesses using hand tools and proper assembly techniques
- Work in small teams to complete daily build requirements
- Maintain clean and organized workspace
- Track inventory of project parts and supplies
- Validate the quality of wire harness assemblies
- Perform teardown and rework of donor harnesses
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams on collaborative projects
- Provide high-quality products and services
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in wire harness assembly
- Reliable transportation
- Detail oriented
- Proficiency in wire prep, crimping, soldering, and de-pinning
- Ability to read and interpret wiring prints and cut sheets
- Accurate measurement skills
- Experienced in use of multimeter
- Effective communication skills
- Computer skills
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Flexibility to cross train for expanded opportunities
