Yard Material Handler

Talascend is currently seeking a Yard Material Handler for a contract opportunity with our client in Odessa, Texas.

Overview

The Yard Material Handler loads and unloads trucks, locates and verifies equipment numbers, and cleans and stages equipment for service operations. This role also prepares equipment for use in frac, wellhead, flowback, and other oilfield applications.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks.
• Locate and verify equipment numbers.
• Clean and stage equipment.
• Coordinate with various departments to supply assets for service operations.
• Prepare equipment for use in frac, wellhead, flowback, and other oilfield applications.
• Use computers and understand inventory storage processes.
• Accurately track equipment and parts within the system.
• Perform a variety of tasks beyond driving equipment, as required by warehouse operations.
• Take initiative and self-motivate to complete tasks without relying on step-by-step direction for every activity.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability and willingness to perform a variety of tasks beyond forklift operation.
• Self-motivation and initiative-taking behavior.

Preferred Qualifications

• Stable employment history, as frequent job changes (e.g., every 3 months) are not viewed favorably by the hiring manager.
• Experience working in a role where warehouse team members use computers to manage inventory and track equipment and parts within a system.

Shift

Schedule is 6am–6pm and 6pm–6am, with 11 days on and 3 days off.
