Test Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking a Test Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Bellevue, Washington.
Overview
The test engineer will be responsible for executing testing activities, including test design, documentation, and conducting tests, in a collaborative environment to ensure quality and timely completion of testing projects related to research and development in the nuclear industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the drafting of test requirements, test designs, and test procedures for experimental work
- Assist with data analysis and generate test reports
- Support the coordination of testing activities for setup and commissioning of experimental equipment
- Support continuous learning and application of industry best practices to maintain high-quality standards
- Work closely with internal and external customers to meet testing requirements
- Work as part of a team of engineers and technicians to complete testing activities
- Handle projects with multiple objectives and resolve conflicts between objectives
- Manage multiple tasks concurrently during work weeks
- Maintain safety standards and demonstrate trustworthiness and integrity in all tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field of engineering
- Five (5) years of relevant experience in testing, research, and development preferred
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Experience with post-processing and documenting experiments
- Experience with multiple types of testing (R&D, acceptance, validation, qualification)
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists
- Ability to handle projects with multiple objectives and resolve conflicts
- Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Safety-conscious attitude
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
