Test Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking a Test Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Bellevue, Washington.
Overview
The Test Engineer will be responsible for executing testing activities, including test design, documentation, and conducting tests. They will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure testing meets requirements and is completed in a timely manner. The role involves working as part of a team of engineers and technicians to support the testing process in a research and development environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting test requirements, designs, and procedures for experimental work
- Support data analysis and generate test reports
- Coordinate testing activities for setup and commissioning of experimental equipment under senior staff guidance
- Support continuous improvement by applying industry best practices and identifying process enhancement opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field of engineering
- Five (5) years of relevant experience in testing, research, and development environment preferred
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Experience with post-processing and documenting experiments
- Experience with multiple types of testing (R&D, acceptance, validation, qualification)
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists
- Ability to manage multiple objectives and resolve conflicts between goals
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Safety conscious and trustworthy with high integrity
- Ability to work independently to solve challenging research and development problems
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
