Construction Automation Specialist
Talascend is currently seeking a Construction Automation Specialist for a contract opportunity located in Corpus Christi, TX.
Overview:
The Construction Automation Specialist reports to the Lead Construction Automation Specialist and is responsible for assisting with the establishment and administration of the suite of Construction Automation applications on the jobsite.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Functional Automation Team to ensure processes and procedures are followed; also ensure new innovation and/or new application plans are implemented at site per the approved roll-out schedule.
- Establish the data requirements to support construction work processes.
- Work with Project Field Engineer to establish the requirements for Construction Automation Systems.
- Coordinate with design engineering, procurement, project controls and other departments to establish automated data transfer between applications.
- Configure BSAPs to meet project requirements.
- Understand reporting requirements for each application and configure reports accordingly. Ensure reports are accurate reflections of the data and are functioning as intended.
- Review/trouble-shoot data for accuracy and completeness. Identify and address anomalies and report to the PFE.
- Provide ongoing administration to each BSAP.
- Provide training and technical support to BSAP end users, including field engineering, supervision, administration, project controls and other site personnel.
- Interface with corporate BSAP administrators to change functionality or configuration of applications to meet project specific requirements.
- Assist the Project Field Engineer and Lead Area Field Engineers by providing training, direction, and support to TEAMWorks and Setroute administrators who are responsible for data entry and report generation.
- Manage the Construction Automation tools including but not limited to:
- TEAMWorks
- WITS (Weld and Welder tracking system)
- PTR (NCR, RFI, FCD)
- Turnover system app (Smart Completion)
- Preservation and Maintenance Module
- Measuring and Test Equipment
- Productivity Services (Xfighters)
- AWP tools
- Power BI
- SSRS Reporting service
- Model Builder
- Book Builder
Requirements:
- Degree qualification in Engineering is desired but may be waived if equivalent industry experience can be demonstrated.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
- Extensive knowledge of TEAMWorks and associated applications is required.
- Experience with other client Standard applications, including PTR, SETROUTE, BPS and InfoWorks is desirable.
- A good understanding of client standard construction work processes and procedures is desirable.
- Advanced level capability with MS Excel and Access is required. Experience with other database platforms is desirable.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
