Talascend is currently seeking a Production Associate for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.

Overview

This role involves supporting manufacturing and assembly operations, performing quality checks, and maintaining accurate documentation in a controlled environment. The position requires handling small, delicate parts and working in a second-shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow work procedures and schematics or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed with limited supervision.
  • Maintain accurate records of the work performed and other reports as required by management.
  • Perform manufacturing/assembly operations on multiple product lines following procedures, bills of materials, work instructions, and process aid sheets.
  • Maintain daily production output.
  • Participate in and communicate improvements for safety, health, and environmental practices.
  • Participate in quality control inspections when required.
  • Work with team leads, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency.
  • Provide support in the development and testing of new products, methods, tools, and test equipment.
  • Set up equipment and perform first piece inspections to ensure quality levels.
  • Conduct ongoing quality checks, record data, and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Monitor machine and process variables, take corrective actions, and report negative conditions.
  • Interface with electronic quality, production, and documentation systems accurately.
  • Complete activities to deliver finished parts that meet quality standards on time.
  • Comply with all EHS and quality policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to learn packaging and small part assembly
  • Proficiency with computer programs like Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to interpret written technical information
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and quality-minded work habits
  • Ability to learn multiple product lines
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to handle small, delicate parts such as lamination and bonding layers using epoxy
  • Ability to multi-task and handle tooling weighing 25 lbs. or less
  • Comfortable handling chemicals like IPA, acetone, and epoxies
  • Ability to operate a microscope for job-related tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience in creating and reviewing test documents
  • Experience in semiconductor device and product manufacturing
  • Experience in testing products for safety and quality assurance standards
  • Experience working in a medical or other regulated environment
  • Electronic assembly knowledge, including soldering technologies and processes
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication, machining, or molding processes
  • Experience working within a clean room or controlled environment
  • Medical device manufacturing experience
  • Machining experience such as dicing or grinding
