Talascend is currently seeking a Production Associate for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.

Overview

The role involves performing manufacturing, assembly, and testing tasks in support of product development and production. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work in a controlled environment handling small and delicate parts.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow work procedures and schematics, or receive verbal instructions with limited supervision
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and other required documentation
  • Perform manufacturing and assembly operations on multiple product lines following procedures, bills of materials, work instructions, and process aid sheets
  • Maintain daily production output
  • Participate in and communicate improvements for EHS and quality practices
  • Assist with quality control inspections when required
  • Collaborate with team leads, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency
  • Support the development and validation of new products, methods, tools, and test equipment
  • Set up equipment and perform first-piece inspections to ensure desired quality levels
  • Conduct ongoing quality checks, record data, and report discrepancies promptly
  • Monitor machine and process variables, take corrective actions, and report issues affecting quality, output, or equipment performance
  • Interface with electronic quality, production, and documentation systems providing accurate information
  • Ensure timely delivery of finished parts meeting quality specifications
  • Comply with all EHS and quality procedures and policies

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or local equivalent
  • Ability to learn packaging and small part assembly
  • Proficient with computer programs like Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to understand and interpret written technical information
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and quality-minded work habits
  • Ability to learn multiple product lines
  • Ability to communicate using English
  • Ability to handle small, delicate parts such as lamination and bonding layers utilizing epoxy
  • Ability to multi-task and handle tooling weighing 25 lbs. or less
  • Ability to work comfortably with chemicals like IPA, acetone, and epoxies
  • Ability to operate microscopes for job-related tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detail-oriented work and complete projects on time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five or more years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience in creating and reviewing test documents
  • Experience in semiconductor device fabrication and testing
  • Medical device manufacturing experience
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Knowledge of electronic assembly and soldering technologies
  • Experience with metal fabrication, machining, or molding processes
  • Ability to work in a clean room or controlled environment
  • Machining experience such as dicing or grinding
