Talascend is currently seeking an Electronics Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in St. Joseph, Michigan.
Overview
This role involves assembling electronic control boards and cable assemblies, soldering electronic parts, programming control boards, building custom cables, troubleshooting electronic failures, mechanical assembly, reading schematics, and documenting test results.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electronics control boards and cable assemblies
- Solder electronics parts for control boards and cables
- Program and reflash electronic control boards using digital programmers
- Build custom electronics cables and harnesses for development and testing
- Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical failures using multimeters, scopes, probes, etc.
- Perform mechanical assembly of electronic parts into appliances and housings
- Read electronic schematics
- Complete electronics test reports in spreadsheet applications
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; lab work in electronics helpful
- Zero years of experience with some electronics experience preferred
- Basic electrical tech training ideal
- Basic computer skills for accessing project documentation, running test plans, and reporting results
- Experience programming/erasing Flash Memory devices via JTAG interfaces
- Ability to find and view electronic schematics in PDF format
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronics troubleshooting and soldering
- Experience assembling mechanical parts and wiring harnesses
The position typically supports a standard 40-hour workweek, usually from 8am to 5pm with some flexibility.
