Talascend is currently seeking an Automotive Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Livonia, Michigan.
Overview
This role involves providing automotive technical services within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The technician will work on advanced projects involving off-road tactical military vehicles, autonomous vehicles, and electric vehicles, gaining exposure to cutting-edge automotive technology.
Responsibilities
- Perform automotive repairs and maintenance with a focus on high-tech systems
- Read, comprehend, and execute written procedures accurately
- Utilize personal tools and a rolling toolbox effectively
- Maintain organizational skills and attention to detail
- Work with a high level of urgency, motivation, and enthusiasm to learn
- Possibly work overtime and weekends as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years' automotive technician / mechanic experience or equivalent military experience
- Own tools with rolling toolbox
- Well-rounded technician / mechanical experience and knowledge
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand written procedures
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime/weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- State of Michigan and/or ASE certifications
- Electrical experience
