Talascend is currently seeking an Automotive Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Livonia, Michigan.
Overview
This role involves working within a flexible assembly operation, providing assembly services for advanced automotive projects, including off-road tactical military vehicles, autonomous vehicles, and electric vehicles. The position offers opportunities to learn cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform automotive maintenance and repair tasks as per written procedures
- Utilize own tools and equipment to complete assigned work
- Organize and maintain a well-rounded knowledge of mechanical systems
- Ensure high attention to detail and accuracy in work performed
- Demonstrate a high level of urgency, motivation, and enthusiasm to learn new skills
- Adhere to safety standards and attendance policies, including overtime and weekends as required
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of automotive technician or mechanic experience, or equivalent military experience
- Own tools with rolling toolbox
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime/weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- State or ASE certifications
- Experience working with electric vehicles
