Talascend is currently seeking a CDL Truck Driver for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Rhome, Texas.
Overview
The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for completing local and non-local deliveries of company materials and products, primarily operating with flatbed trailers and related loads. The role involves various driving, loading, and delivery tasks to ensure timely and safe transportation of goods.
Responsibilities
- Loading, driving & unloading delivery trucks
- Receiving, shipping & stocking materials and products
- Securing cargo for transport
- Obtaining receipts and signatures for delivered materials and products
- Completing commercial deliveries – local and overnight
- Reporting all equipment defects or damage, as well as, accidents and traffic violations
- Maintaining a driver’s daily log
- Verifying delivery instructions and routes
- Complying with all state, federal and company regulations
- Performing other duties in the manufacturing plant, as assigned by plant management in the preparation and/or distribution of various deliveries
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 24 months of commercial driving experience
- Possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A, with good driving record
- Minimum 21 years old
- No DUI convictions in the last 2 years
- No more than 1 preventable accident in the last 12-month period
- No more than 3 moving violations in 3 years
- Successfully pass a background check, including criminal history, drug screen, DOT physical, audiogram, and vision test
