Talascend is currently seeking a Cad Designer for a contract opportunity with our client in Schenectady, New York.
Overview
The CAD Designer is responsible for creating accurate and detailed models and drawings using CAD software based on provided instructions, sketches, and layouts. The role involves collaboration with engineers and team members to produce high-quality models and drawings for various projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare models and drawings using CAD software according to provided instructions.
- Perform model and drawing changes and revisions as directed by engineers or project managers.
- Receive close supervision, instruction, and review of work to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Follow modeling and drafting practices and procedures to produce clear and concise models and drawings.
- Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements and timelines.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree (Technology or Drafting or similar) plus experience; or related vocational technical high school program.
- Proficiency in a CAD software.
- Basic understanding of drafting practices and procedures, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
