Talascend is currently seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Robbinsville Township, New Jersey.
Overview
This role involves supporting the operations maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. The technician will also install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, while mentoring junior technicians to grow in their roles.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more
- Maintain a positive working relationship across all the facility's operations
- Track and store department inventory
- Move up to 49lbs and stand or walk during shifts up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Possible travel up to 20%
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- 1 year of experience in PC competency including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
