Talascend is currently seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
Overview
The role involves supporting the operations maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. The technician will also install, troubleshoot, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while mentoring junior technicians.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more
- Maintain a positive working relationship across all facility operations
- Track and store department inventory
- Move up to 49 pounds as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Possible travel up to 20% at a minimum
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and holidays
- 1 year of experience in PC competency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
