Talascend is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for a contract opportunity with our client in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Overview
This position will lead a team of approximately 20–40 union employees in a fast-paced quality manufacturing environment, with a primary focus on supervising production activities, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring product quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support hourly/union team members.
- Monitor vehicle and product quality to ensure standards are met.
- Identify vehicle issues and determine corrective actions.
- Make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Support safety, throughput, quality, and timekeeping initiatives.
- Communicate issues and corrective actions effectively to team members and other departments.
- Coordinate activities with the supervisor overseeing the opposite shift to ensure continuity.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and quality standards, people leadership, and fast-paced decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vehicle quality management and automotive manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
