Talascend is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for a contract opportunity with our client in Lansing, Michigan.
Overview
The production supervisor oversees and coordinates the activities of production and operating workers on the factory floor. They focus on maintaining production efficiency, quality standards, and team leadership to support manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Recommend measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
- Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect issues.
- Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
- Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in business or a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of experience required, with a focus on leadership and people management. Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience managing a team, quick learning ability, and understanding of vehicle assembly and production operations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel; Google Workspace experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
