Talascend is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Upper Chichester, Pennsylvania.
This role involves performing laboratory functions in a safe manner, supporting quality control processes, and maintaining laboratory equipment and documentation to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Sample and test the continuous production process, making adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality.
- Conduct additional testing to prevent cross-contamination during product changeovers.
- Perform finished product testing and release in a timely manner to facilitate shipping schedules.
- Maintain notebooks and computer files in a neat and organized manner to facilitate data retrieval.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and calibrations to ensure accurate and consistent results.
- Maintain open communication with production operators to ensure product quality and provide testing support as needed.
- Conduct required testing for environmental and plant utilities to ensure compliance with permit requirements.
- Assist in training new laboratory technicians.
- Participate in quality improvement activities at the plant.
- Conduct statistical evaluations and process controls as applicable.
- Adhere to procedures defined under the ISO-9000 certification.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety practices.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
