Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a located in New Albany, Ohio.
Overview
This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plumbing and water-based building systems in a pharmaceutical plant environment. The technician will support various mechanical systems and assist with general building maintenance to ensure operational reliability and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary, storm sewer, sump pumps, and grease traps
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace valves, piping, fixtures, regulators, pumps, and related components
- Support building systems including HVAC hydronic systems, compressed air, and utility piping systems
- Respond promptly to service calls, alarms, and emergency situations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and equipment manuals
- Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation using a CMMS
- Perform all work in accordance with SOPs, safety procedures, and applicable codes
- Coordinate with vendors, engineers, and other skilled trades as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial or industrial building maintenance with a focus on plumbing systems
- Demonstrated senior-level maintenance mechanic experience
- Working knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to complete background checks
- Valid state driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, laboratory, or manufacturing facilities
- Journeyman plumber license or equivalent certification
- CMMS experience (Maximo, Archibus, or similar)
- Working knowledge of mechanical or HVAC systems
