Electronics Design Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking an Electronics Design Engineer for a contract opportunity located in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will spend the majority of time in Indianapolis, but would also travel to West Lafayette occasionally.
OVERVIEW:
The Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for Electronics hardware circuit design and development to analog design, digital design, mixed-signal design (ADCs/DACs), and power supply design for Electronic Engine Control and Monitoring System.
You may be involved at any stage of a project including the initial brief for a concept, the design and development stage, testing of prototypes, and the final manufacture and implementation of a new product or system. You'll usually work in project teams with colleagues in other branches of engineering.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create schematic and PCB layout guidelines.
- Electronics measurement equipment & design assurance testing.
- Troubleshooting electronics to find root causes and solutions to problems.
- Circuit simulation & related modelling tools.
- Tolerance and stress analysis.
- Compile functional description and design assurance testing results into a report sufficient for certifying authorities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline (Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Physics) with 2+ years of experience in electronics design, OR
- Master's degree in STEM discipline (Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Physics), OR
- JD/PhD
