Talascend is currently seeking a Pipefitter Foreman for a contract to possible direct hire opportunity with our client located in Nashville, TN.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage multiple pipefitting crews.
- Lay out and weld fabricated, cast and forged components that form piping and plumbing systems.
- Install according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes.
- May consist of pipes, fittings, piping systems, fixtures and equipment for heating, cooling, gas, steam, and lubricating systems.
- Ensures personal safety, job quality, and timely completion of each assigned project task.
- Help prepare and keep the job site clean and organized through all phases of the job.
- Requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for anyone entering and/or working on job site at all times.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have experience installing chilled and heater water systems, piping chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers, pumps, and control valves.
- Experience in Commercial plumbing required.
- Able to run refrigerant copper lines.
- Employee should be experienced in installing piping in a professional manner: plumb, level, and square.
- Be able to read blueprints and show drawings.
- Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces.
- Neat, professional appearance.
- Management experience highly preferred.
- Must be able to background screening and pass drug test(s) as required by company.
