Maintenance Mechanic
SUMMARY:
Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and other equipment by performing the following duties.
SHIFT:
- Mon-Fri usually, might have some OT on the weekend
- 2nd Shift. 2:00pm to 10:30pm.
- Availability to work any shift is required.
PAY:
- $29 - $31 an hour depending upon experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to, remove and replace defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Starts devices to test their performance.
- Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Initiates purchase request for parts and machines.
- Repairs electrical equipment.
- Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing to work at a Union Site.
- 1+ years of related working experience.
- Both electrical and mechanical background and knowledge.

- The ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Anything above 35 pounds is a two-person lift

- Steel-toed Shoes/Boots are required to be worn from the very first day. They are not provided.
