Talascend is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a Manufacturing Process Engineer position with a leading automotive manufacturer located in Warren, MI.
SUMMARY:
The key project is the electric truck- the plant just built out so we are starting a demo phase here. Everything is brand new at this facility. The big challenge here is the adding of automation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Propose and evaluate manufacturing process and equipment for assigned areas.
• Meet plant goals and standards in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Coordinate the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment in supporting SPQRC initiatives.
• Evaluate expenditures for processes and/or equipment.
• Provide technical assistance and training for assigned plant operations.
• Works closely with production and maintenance personnel and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Analyze tooling and equipment and select proper steps for solution.
• Communicate with internal and external business units.
• Support plants in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost goals.
• Support and implement the QS9000/ISO14001/(GMS) Global Manufacturing System compliance processes.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related discipline preferred
- Need manufacturing automotive plant experience.
- Need mechanically inclined candidates
- Process & Tooling Development for new General Assembly Launches.
- Good communication skills, able to deal with multiple groups at one time and multi-task to meet required timelines.
- Auto CAD or math skills as they will be dealing with math a lot
- General knowledge of construction as we will be going through a lot of construction phases installing a lot of stuff- equipment, conveyors, etc.
- Background in automation is also preferred **
- Work Schedule: 7am-4pm Day Shift. But will need to be open working occasional evenings
