Talascend is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Specifications Analyst position with a leading automotive manufacturer located in Warren, MI. 

OVERVIEW:


The Specification Analyst position is responsible for analyzing and interpreting highly complex engineering information, (work orders, Vehicle Description Summary information, Product Program Content, etc.).

Work Schedule: In office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Flexible start and end time.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions of releasing issues.
  • Working with DREs to ensure the Master Parts List (MPL) is accurate.
  • Creating and maintaining the MPL in the mainframe system.
  • Leading the MPL reconciliation activities / completing work on time.
  • Being the trusted expert in the Engineering Change Request process.
  • Reacting appropriately to urgent requests.
  • Analyzing and resolving issues found in MPL audits.
  • Ensuring engineering work orders are written correctly and according to process.
  • Analyzing and interpreting highly complex engineering information from multiple sources Scheduling, maintaining, and communicating status of all deliverables.
  • Keeping leader informed of status and issues.
  • Analyzing complex data and making recommendations on difficult technical problems Participating in project teams aimed at improving process and quality.
  • Keeping accurate records on work performed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor Degree required.
  • A minimum of 2+ years industry experience outside of internships and Co-Ops.
  • Experience in Specifications demonstrating aptitude in role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, as well as overall computer proficiency.
  • Ability to understand and follow work instructions, standards, and quality procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and react appropriately to urgent requests.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with Engineering and Program Teams.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independent from Mentor and is assigned specific program responsibility.
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual, difficult or complex.
