Talascend is currently seeking a Computer Tech for a contract opportunity in Nashville, TN
SUMMARY:
This job family is responsible for the installation, servicing and upgrading PC equipment, mainframe connections, and peripherals and responds to user requests. Troubleshoots and repairs computer software, hardware, and network configurations. Provides technical and user support for PC components, mainframe networking, and LAN-based systems. May be internal or external client-focused.
SCOPE:
Applies job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a wide range of difficult tasks.
PROBLEM COMPLEXITY:
Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. IMPACT: Decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules.
LIAISON:
Interacts daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information.
FREEDOM TO ACT:
Normally receives no instructions on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.
LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT:
Knowledge/Skills and Ability:
Having the knowledge and experience to be able to handle unusual and seldom occurring job events with minimal assistance. May serve in a lead role and train others.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree or equivalent and 4+ years of related experience. Technical School desired.
