Talascend is currently seeking a Software Engineer – Middleware QA Tools for  a contract opportunity with our client in Newark, CA.

Must be locally based, willing to work on-site or willing to relocate at your own expense.  Must be eligible to work for any employer in the U.S. W-2 only.
 

Overview

This role focuses on developing and enhancing automation tools and frameworks to validate features and measure performance metrics in embedded and automotive software environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement tools to automate feature validation and generate performance metrics

  • Identify and automate manual validation scenarios

  • Improve and maintain existing test automation frameworks

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure quality in embedded software systems

  • Support middleware QA efforts with tools and automation expertise

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

  • 4+ years of software development experience for testing embedded or automotive software

  • Strong proficiency in Python or C/C++

  • Experience with embedded software test automation

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab or Jenkins (nice to have)

  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR

  • Understanding of Robot Framework and vehicle signal simulation tools

  • Awareness of generative AI techniques for code generation (good to have)

  • Knowledge of NVIDIA performance analysis tools and ROS (nice to have)
