Document Control Specialist
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with preparing and submitting their documents to project partners and to internal document control specialists.
- Review documents for compliance to configuration management processes.
- Fix common issues in documents (e.g., captions, cross-references, formatting) and update content to the latest template.
- Mentor the MCFR organization on documentation best practices and work instructions.
- Configure and update project Atlassian Confluence pages and Jira database.
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Associates degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of customer-facing work experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge and experience in electronic document and metadata management, preferably in a regulated or technical environment.
- Experience in product data management software suites.
- Exceptional attention in detail.
- Team-oriented mindset with experience in training others.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills, with the confidence to reject documentation if issues warrant it, along with the soft skills to provide guidance on issue resolution.
- Experience working with Confluence, Jira, or Windchill is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in ASME NQA-1 is a plus.
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.
