A Talascend client in Albuquerque, New Mexico is seeking an experienced Project Controls Professional (Scheduler) to support engineering and construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring project schedules align with scope, milestones, and deliverables while providing insight into project performance and recovery strategies.
This position qualifies for long-term expense reimbursement.
Onsite only, with a standard 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
- Comply with the Facilities Engineering Division’s policies, programs, procedures, and practices.
- Verify adequacy and completeness of schedule updates for Facilities Engineering projects.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain detailed resource-loaded schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools.
- Monitor schedule performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions or recovery plans.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive project controls reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for engineers, leads, and stakeholders.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal procedures and standards.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior project controls personnel.
- Promote and adhere to safety and security standards; maintain all required training and act decisively to ensure safe work conditions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum 5–8 years of project controls experience, ideally supporting complex engineering and construction projects.
- PMI-SP, PMP, AACE, or similar certifications are a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera P6, and data analytics/reporting tools such as Microstrategy, Spotfire, Tableau.
- Strong understanding of project controls principles, including CPM scheduling, performance measurement, and earned value management (EVM).
- Familiarity with engineering and construction workflows.
- Experience or familiarity with DOE, NNSA, or nuclear facility project requirements preferred not required.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability and willingness to obtain Q Clearance.
