Talascend is currently seeking a Passive Safety Homologation Specialist for a contract opportunity located in Auburn Hills, MI.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead certification strategies for all passive safety systems including occupant protection, crash structures, airbags, seatbelt systems, and interior crash protection
- Provide regulatory guidance to Engineering to ensure designs comply with global safety standards (FMVSS, ECE, GB, etc.)
- Develop and manage certification plans, testing schedules, and documentation requirements
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities, third-party labs, and internal stakeholders to secure certifications and approvals
- Stay current with regulatory changes and proactively guide future program compliance
- Represent homologation in design reviews, project milestones, and global discussions
- Build trusted working relationships across engineering, quality, manufacturing, service, legal, and regulatory partners
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (other degrees with relevant experience may be considered)
- Minimum 3 years of engineering experience
- Experience with system and subsystem engineering release in areas such as Electrical, RF, Chassis, Exterior, or Interior components
- Strong knowledge of global safety, impact, chassis, or electrical regulations
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive certification processes to completion
- Master’s degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- Kepner-Tregoe problem-solving and decision-making experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with global safety regulations and type approval processes
- Foreign language skills are a plus
- Automotive regulatory, program management, and testing experience highly desirable
- Hybrid work schedule based at Chrysler Technology Center (CTC)
- Occasional reporting to Chelsea Proving Grounds (CPG)
- Driving Stellantis vehicles as needed
- Limited travel (approx. 5%) to North American assembly plants or witness test locations
