Talascend is currently seeking an External Noise and Masses Homologation Specialist for a contract opportunity located in Auburn Hills, MI.

We are seeking an External Noise and Masses Homologation Specialist to lead certification and regulatory compliance activities for pass-by and stationary noise systems.
- Serve as the internal regulatory lead for Pass-by and Stationary Noise Systems
- Evaluate vehicle and system designs for regulatory compliance
- Develop certification plans and support system development with engineering teams
- Collaborate with foreign governments to negotiate acceptance of compliance documentation
- Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, legal, service, and testing agencies to ensure timely certification and compliance
- Maintain and apply knowledge of global Masses, Dimensions, and Noise regulations
- Ensure successful completion of compliance testing by critical deadlines
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (other engineering degrees with relevant experience will be considered)
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience
- Experience with chassis or powertrain systems and engineering release processes
- Extensive knowledge of international regulations regarding vehicle noise and masses
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage certification timelines
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- Knowledge of worldwide noise and masses regulations and international type approval processes
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and multi-project management skills
- Kepner-Tregoe problem-solving methodology experience
- Automotive industry background, especially with regulatory approval processes
- Proficiency in technical writing and excellent verbal communication skills
- Foreign language skills a plus
- Hybrid schedule
- Occasional travel (<10%)
- Driving required for this position
