Accounting Support Specialist
Talascend is currently seeking an Accounting Support Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Richmond, Virginia.
Overview
The individual should be able to handle multiple projects, have strong communication skills, be analytical and detail-oriented, be a positive, high-energy team player and be comfortable working with a large, sophisticated ERP system.
Responsibilities
- Assist with month end close activities such as journal entries and account analysis
- Assist with R&D spend reporting
- Fixed Asset Administration
- Complete customer and vendor set up forms as needed
- Completion of necessary tax forms such as W-9s and sales tax exemptions
- Maintain approval tables in ERP system
- Complete manual payments and any intercompany transfers
- Assist with royalty calculations and payments
- Channel Marketing Fund Process Management
- Assist with sales reporting
- Various projects related to data cleansing to allow better financial reporting
- Other general administrative and financial support tasks as they arise
Qualifications
- Business or accounting degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience accounting and business administration.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and handle changing priorities
- Experience with fixed asset administration
- Experience with SAP or other similar ERP systems
- Proficient in Excel
