Assembly & Test Technician - Level 2
Talascend is currently seeking an Assembly & Test Technician - Level 2 for a contract opportunity with our client in Olathe, Kansas.
Overview
The Assembly & Test Technician 2 performs standard testing processes on a variety of electronic equipment, records and analyzes results, and supports assembly tasks. This role requires hands-on experience with electronic components, soldering, and basic computer comprehension.
Responsibilities
- Perform standard testing and assembly processes on electronic equipment
- Record and analyze test results using industry-specific equipment
- Solder components and build CCAs (Circuit Card Assemblies)
- Read and follow detailed instructions and schematics
- Use hand tools and electronic testing devices
- Maintain quality and safety standards
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Qualifications
- Associates degree in electronics or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in electronics assembly or testing
Requirements
- Soldering skills required
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in electronics
- Basic computer comprehension
- Experience from companies like Panasonic, Garmin, or medical electronics environments is a plus
- Physical Requirements: Lifting 10-15 lbs with minimal repetition
- Minimal exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks
Shift
Must be flexible to work any shift. 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 2nd Shift: Noon - 8:00 PM or 4:00 PM - Midnight, 3rd Shift: Midnight - 8:00 AM, Weekend Shift: 3x12s (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM), 4x10s: Available on 1st and 2nd shifts only.
