Talascend is currently seeking a Technical Engineering Specialist for a direct hire opportunity with our client in The Woodlands, Texas.

Overview

The Technical Engineering Specialist will play a key role in supporting customers and internal teams through the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical quotations, and related documentation. This is a customer-facing role that combines technical acumen with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary technical contact for customers, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Develop and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for customer projects.
  • Prepare detailed technical quotations in coordination with engineering, sales, and production teams.
  • Assist drafting and design teams with drawings and revisions as needed.
  • Review customer specifications and ensure compliance with design and quality standards.
  • Support internal process improvements related to quoting, documentation, and material handling.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through proactive communication and technical support.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing support role.

Requirements

  • Experience with industrial tanks, pressure vessels, or process equipment strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with CAD or drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) a plus.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical or industrial components and materials.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative approach.
